Investment Committee

I have been a member of Walden Capital’s Investment Committee since its inception in 2013. My skill in scientific investing was foundational in building the firm’s model portfolios which provide the guideposts for most of our client’s individual portfolios.

I am a firm believer in evidence-based investing, incorporating low-cost asset class diversification utilising the statistical method of covariance analysis. Put simply, we strive to maximise the returns available for your chosen level of risk.

I am a Chartered Financial Analyst, with an MBA in Technology Management, and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University.

As a managing director with BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors I made significant technical contributions to the portfolio management software systems. I have taught modules on the application of technology to finance at Warwick Business School, as Professor of Practice in the Finance group.

I am the founder and CEO of Ryedale where I lead top-class software project teams in the field of quantitative asset management, delivering investment process improvements to some of the world’s largest financial organisations.

Most weekends find me out and about running or on my mountain bike exploring Hertfordshire’s vast array of bridlepaths.
