However there is a bias towards reporting bad news - because as the old adage goes, bad news sells newspapers. However it isn't all doom and gloom on the world stage, and here Jim Parker, Vice President at Dimensional Fund Advisors offers 10 reasons to be a bit more positive about tomorrow. 2016 has been a pretty volatile year so far, with some big drops and gains in all markets - but that is just what happens, and we do not believe it is possible to predict short term future movements - so don't try. There will be good news, there will be bad - but provided capitalism continues to work then risk will be rewarded over time, and setting your risk budget is the key to future investment success.
