The budget is perhaps the most highly anticipated of UK Government announcements, with correspondents from all sectors of the political spectrum keenly anticipating the Chancellor’s announcements on tax and spending.
We have in recent years had more ’emergency’ budgets following a change of Government, or change of circumstances.
Now we have a Mini-Budget – put together in great haste by our new Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng, following the Conservative party membership election of Liz Truss to the Premiership of the United Kingdom.
