Welcome to the November/December edition of E-Smart Money, our periodic magazine offfering help with planning your finances.
This issue we explore a number of important themes including ESG and looking after our planet, avoiding being scammed, and whether the current economic situation is upsetting financial plans.
Walden Capital launched ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) filtered portfolios at the beginning of 2022 following considering client interest, and since then many clients have expressed an interest in allocating some or all of their investments into these portfolios, expressing a desire to use their money for positive global impact, whilst also planning for the future.
This growing trend to look for our investments to do more than simply grow is explored in this issue.
Unfortunately money is a magnet for thieves, and we will all be familiar with scammers trying to separate us from our money. With online thieves becoming ever more convincing there are things we can all do to decrease the odds of being caughtby these criminals.
Sadly the steadily worsening financial situation continues to make long term plans difficult to execute, and some people are experiencing the discomfort of discovering their financial plans were not as robust as they hoped. We often discover frailties within our prospective client’s financial plans when we first meet them, and it is important to address these issues to stop them coming worse. In this issue we talk about some of the important steps than can make a difference.
If we can help, or you have any questions, or would like to chat about your finances, we would, as always, only be too happy to hear from you.
