Last week, Seb and Sam attended the Apprenticeship Panel at Saffron Walden County High School to introduce the concept of apprenticeships to Year 12’s before they are due to make their choices on what to do after school.
Seb played an integral role in the apprenticeship panel as he previously attended Saffron Walden County High School, so he was able to give hands on experience of why he chose to do an apprenticeship and what he enjoys most about the experience – mainly getting paid to learn!

Sam provided an employer’s insight into why apprenticeships are a good business model for both employer and apprentice and what benefits apprenticeships bring to an organisation. As an employer, we see an apprenticeship as an investment in the future of both the company and the individual.

Sebastian Robinson – Working towards the Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship
‘Although I am only four months into my financial services administrator apprenticeship, I can already see the beneficial impact the workshops have on my day-to-day role. I am currently studying for my upcoming RO1 exam as part of the programme.’ – Sebastian Robinson
Bonnie Taylor – Achieved a distinction in the Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship
‘After achieving a distinction in my Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship, I have gained valuable insights to the finance industry which continues to support my day-to-day role. The apprenticeship included workshops and revision sessions which reinforced my knowledge to pass the R01 exam and led to the successful production of my end point assessment.’ – Bonnie Taylor
Mikki Gant – Achieved a distinction in the Financial Adviser apprenticeship
‘I passed my Financial Adviser apprenticeship with a distinction thanks to the help and support of Walden Capital and the NMBA. During my apprenticeship, along with the textbooks, I attended workshops in Huddersfield with other students which was hugely beneficial. Samantha Leggett – Achieved a pass in the Team Leader apprenticeship
